Today was the big day! We met the trial coordinator this morning, and she took Hudson for a blood draw. The trial drug was then dosed, and she said take lots of pictures, this is exciting!

7 week supply of pre-filled syringes
The medicine is light sensitive and must be kept cold. We received a 7 week supply of pre-filled syringes, the remaining medicine will be shipped to Texas. We also received a medication log that we have to fill out every day, as well as a scary letter addressed to airport security from Dr. E that basically says to leave this cooler of medication alone or you seriously harm this kid!

First dose!
Hudson had to do lab draws at one hour and three hours post dose. He also had an ECG about 2 hours post dose. We spent the time in between walking around the hospital and exploring the pretty gardens scattered around.

Excited!
Huddy got tired and decided to lie down for a rest. He's been very active this week, I think he's going to be absolutely wiped out once we get home. He did that after his Make a Wish trip back in March. It took him 2 weeks to recover once we returned.
After the last lab draw he was done! We return January 27 for the 13 week follow up. We were told it may be a few weeks before we start to see any effects from the medication. I can't wait, I know they will be great!
