Thank you everyone for the prayers said for Hudson, we really do appreciate each and every one.
Hudson must have caught some type of stomach virus, lots of retching (he can't throw up because of a surgery), but retching shows us he's nauseous...and tons of poop. All the formula he took in came right back out. Yesterday we realized he hadn't peed since the day before, so his GI and mito dr. said to bring him in. He just dehydrates so fast. They've taken blood, and urine and stool cultures, but the stool cultures take 2 days to come back.
So right now he's on gut rest, just IV fluids for now, and they'll start Pedialyte at half rate through his tube in a while to see if he tolerates anything in his stomach. Currently we're waiting on the surgery team to come check out his tube, we can't push any meds through or vent it, and the button is oddly super tight against his skin. When I draw back on the syringe to deflate the balloon, no water comes out, but the balloon hasn't popped or the button would have come out. For our friends who aren't familiar with buttons, this is not good. So we can't begin any Pedialyte until they figure out what's wrong with it.
Thanks for thinking of our sweet boy!
