Oxygen and Chickens!

This week Hudson saw his pulmonologist, Dr. J.  She was very unhappy and very concerned about his heart situation.  Dr. J told us to keep Hudson on oxygen during the daytime to help conserve his energy.  His home health care company sent us a portable oxygen system, so it should be pretty simple.  We have not however, been very good about doing it.  It's definitely an adjustment to get used to having another step to his care during the day.  Today though, after church and Grandma's house, we could see that Hudson was really struggling.  He just looked awful, I don't really know how else to describe it.  So we hooked him up and the difference in him was pretty noticeable.  It's very difficult to watch him like this, his energy levels are so low, even with sleeping half the day away.  We still have no word on the decision between his mito dr. and cardiologist.

Over Easter weekend we got chickens!  We now have six chickens in our backyard.  Five of them are little 2 month old pullets, and one is a year old big hen that Aislin brought over from Grandma's house.  I have to say, the chickens are so cute, we love them.  Hudson has a great time torturing them by chasing them around the yard.  We've named Aislin the "Chicken Whisperer" because she is unbelieveably great at catching them!  I'll post pictures of them soon!
