February 5, 2011, mark your calendars! The UMDF Energy for Life Walkathon will be here before we know it! This fundraiser is so important. It raises much needed funds to support mitochondrial disease research, so one day we'll have a cure for this monster!
Before Hudson came along, I had never even heard the words Mitochondrial Disease. All I really knew about mitochondria was that they were those squiggly things we learned about in science class a long time ago. This has to change! We have to change it!
People need to know about mito, because if they don't know what a horrible disease this is, how are we ever going to beat it?
